How it works

Open app. Pack up. See who’s in.

The whole path is designed to beat a group text when your dog suddenly needs to burn energy.

My Yard, Neighborhood Park, Dog Park, or Custom. Optional window: 30 min, 1 hour, or Flexible.

  3. 03

Choose which trusted friends get the ping. No public feed. No strangers. Just people you already know.

  4. 04

    See who’s coming

Friends tap I’m Coming or Can’t Today. Availability expires when the window ends.

Why PackUP

Speed over features. Trust over growth hacks.

PackUP exists so more dogs get real playtime and owners spend less time coordinating. Every screen should feel faster and clearer than texting the same five people again.

Faster than the group text

Notify about five friends in under ten seconds. One path. Large controls. Built for one-handed use on the way out the door.

Friends first, never strangers

Invite, accept, remove. Only approved friends get notified. PackUP is coordination—not social media, dating, or discovery.

Real meetups, not vanity taps

Success is dogs actually playing together. Responses matter when they turn into yard time and park runs.

Simple by default

Minimal profiles: you, your dog, a photo, breed. No messaging maze, no photo dump, no feature sprawl in the core loop.

Who it’s for

People who already know each other offline.

Beachhead first: dense neighborhoods and apartments where dog owners already share sidewalks, lobbies, and nearby parks.

Apartment & dense-neighborhood owners

You already wave at the same people in the lobby, elevator, and courtyard. PackUP turns that trust into spontaneous play.

Existing dog-owner friend groups

The pack already exists offline. PackUP removes the “anyone free?” ping-pong that kills the moment.

Neighbors & family nearby

When energy spikes after work or on a sunny Saturday, the people you trust get the signal first.

The near-term win

Responses that turn into real meetups.

PackUP measures what matters: dogs actually playing together. Not follower counts. Not endless chats. Just a clear “I’m Coming” when it still counts.

Quality bar

Five friends. Under ten seconds.

If it isn’t easier than texting, it isn’t done. The free core loop stays sharp while extras wait their turn.

FAQ

Straight answers for a simple product.

Is PackUP another pet social network?

No. There is no public discovery, stranger matching, or feed. Only friends you invite can be notified.

Do I need a native app?

Not for the first version. PackUP ships as a mobile-friendly web app you can open from a link and add to your home screen.

What does it cost?

The core loop—notify your pack, respond, see who’s coming—is free. Paid extras, if any, come later without locking the basic Ready to Play flow.

Who sees my dog’s play status?

Only the friends you choose for that notify. Availability auto-expires when your window ends.

What isn’t in the MVP?

Messaging, photo sharing, rich profiles, events, marketplace, walkers, and public matching stay out of scope until the core meetup loop works.

Your dog has energy now.

Seed your pack with people you already trust, complete one notify cycle, and aim for a real meetup—not another abandoned chat thread.
